Abstract

The main problem discussed in this study is how South Korean cultural diplomacy towards Indonesia through Bangtan Boys (BTS). The research method used is qualitative research methods. Where this research will use two data collection techniques, namely literature study (literature research) and interviews (interview), both structured and semi-structured. The results of this study are that there are several diplomacy methods used by South Korea through Bangtan Boys (BTS), namely through the wings tour of Bangtan Boys, Bangtan Boys Films, Bangtan Boys Ads, Bangtan Boys Products and the formation of Bangtan Boys / ARMY fans in Indonesia. . In addition, Bangtan Boys (BTS) also contributes to the South Korean economy, especially its macro economy, as according to statistical data that in 2018 BTS contributed 0.3% to South Korea's Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and the tourism sector also experienced an increase in 2017 with the election of Bangtan. boys (BTS) became the tourism ambassadors of South Korea.
