Abstract

Education is the right of every citizen according to the mandate of the 1945 Constitution. One indicator of the progress of a region is the economy, if a region is said to be developed, the economy in the area is said to be developing. Economic growth is supported by one of the factors of education. Higher education is one of the important aspects in increasing the ability of human resources in advancing an area based on local wisdom. The growth in the number of Senior High Schools, Madrasah Aliyah, Vocational High Schools in an area, the development of the economy in an area, the increase in the selling value of human resources outside the area must be balanced with the growth of higher education. The stagnant growth of higher education will have an impact on increasing the burden of people's lives. Therefore, it is necessary to increase higher education to increase the education level of the community which will ultimately improve the welfare of the community and increase local revenue because in line with the increase in the level of education, investment will increase and the region will develop
